Job summary

Byerley Park Primary School in Newton Aycliffe, Durham, is seeking an Enhanced Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team for term-time work, 16.25 hours per week, during term time plus two weeks, with mornings 9.00–12.15 and afternoons to be negotiated.

We require 5 GCSEs A-C including English and Maths; CACHE Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 TA; experience with SEND; strong communication, organisational skills and ability to work independently and in a team. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs A-C including English and Maths.
• CACHE Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and groups of children in class.
• Cover a whole class in the absence of a teacher.
• Work with children with a range of SEND needs.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to the school.
