Job summary

Inicio Group Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for its service in Wigan. The role is part-time (19 hours per week) with a pay rate of £13.00 to £13.50 per hour and a welcome bonus of £250 (£125 on induction, £125 on probation).

You will support young people aged 16–19 leaving care, focusing on independence and transition to adulthood. You will work within a multiagency framework to ensure comprehensive, non-discriminatory wrap-around support and act as a positive role model at all times.

Qualifications

• Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care (Desired).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (Desired).
• Hold a valid Driving licence and access to own vehicle (Required).
• Minimum age 19 years (Required).
• DBS on Update System (Desired).

Responsibilities

• Work with young people to promote independence and prepare for adulthood.
• Collaborate with multiagency teams to ensure wrap-around support.
• Treat individuals with equality and without discrimination and be a positive role model.
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to staff, carers and young people.
