Job summary

Saracen Care Services Ltd in Swindon is seeking compassionate Support Workers to empower individuals with learning disabilities or autism to live their best life. The role focuses on daily living support, community participation, and person-centred care within a person-centred team.

We offer two full-time roles (35 hours/week) and one part-time role (24 hours/week) with a clear rota, paid training, a supportive team, pension, Enhanced DBS, and other benefits, including sleep-in and bank holiday

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within adult health and social care, preferably within a supported living setting.
• Experience supporting people who may display behaviours that challenge.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the United Kingdom.
• If applicable, a valid work permit or visa with at least 12 months remaining.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support during daily activities and help access the community.
• Assist with domestic duties and household management, including cleaning, cooking and finances.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Motivate and encourage people through positive engagement and interaction.
• Promote choice and independence to help individuals achieve personal goals.
• Keep accurate records in line with company policies and CQC guidelines.
• Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing of all individuals following recruitment guidelines.

Experienced Female Support Worker – Swindon

Location : Swindon Wiltshire

At Saracen Care, we are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Support Workers. In this role, you will be enabling people with a learning disability or autism to “live their best life” – empowering people with their daily living skills and accessing the community; reaching their goals and realising their aspirations.

RatedOutstandingwith CQC, Saracen Care is the provider of choice for people with general and complex needs. The people we support live with a range of conditions such as Learning Disability, Autism, Acquired Brain Injuries, Mental Health needs and may exhibit behaviours that challenge, so we are looking for someone who is resilient, calm under pressure and committed to delivering person-centred support.

Due to the needs and preferences of the people we support, this role is open to female applicants only. This is considered to be an occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

We have two full time positions for a minimum of 35 hours each week and one part time position for 24 hours each week.

We have a pay banding system and are committed to staff development:

This role is paid atBand B – £13.35 per hourfor candidates with 2+ years’ experience. Sleep-in shifts are paid at£80 per sleep-in. We are unable to consider applicants without experience for this role.
