Job summary

CareTech is seeking a Part Time Support Worker in Sheffield to provide person-centred care at Oakwood Flats, a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

You will deliver daily living support, promote independence, and assist with community activities while maintaining records and working within a rota that includes evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. DBS check will be completed, and training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care environment with challenging behaviour preferred.
• Willingness to work towards a health and social qualification.
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
• Driver's desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
