Job summary

St Jude’s Care is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities and autism. The role covers a 26-hour per week contract with alternate weekends, delivering person‑centred support to help individuals live fulfilled and independent lives across three homes.

You will provide practical and emotional support, promote independence, and work closely with the wider care team to ensure safe, compassionate care. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support per individual plans.
• Encourage independence and daily living skills development.
• Support routines, activities and community involvement.
• Promote positive communication and appropriate support strategies.
• Support emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour management.
• Maintain accurate records and work with the care team.
• Ensure care is delivered safely, respectfully and empoweringly.
• Transport individuals to day placements or activities.
