Job summary

Brighton Aldridge Community Academy is seeking an Individual Needs Assistant to support students with additional needs. The role is part-time, based at the Brighton campus, and focuses on one-to-one and small group support to enable inclusive learning and positive student outcomes.

You will work with teachers to adapt materials, monitor progress, and contribute to IEPs, ensuring safeguarding and supportive school culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with additional needs, ensuring access to the curriculum.
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapt materials to student needs.
• Support personal care, wellbeing and independence as required.
• Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion throughout the school day.
• Monitor progress and contribute to IEP development and reporting.
• Maintain open communication with staff, parents and external professionals.
• Involve students in extracurricular activities and trainings to support inclusion.
• Participate in training and safeguarding practices.
