Job summary

Alvechurch CE Middle School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with pupils needing additional support. The role involves assisting students in class, during breaks, and lunchtimes to promote safety, behaviour and motivation, while helping with social skills and curriculum access.

The successful candidate will need to be proactive, independent in sourcing materials, and able to work effectively with teaching staff to adapt lessons for mainstream settings. DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with children with behavioural and learning difficulties preferred.
• Previous school environment experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one with identified pupils in the classroom, breaks, and lunchtimes.
• Assist with safety, behaviour and motivation of students.
• Support the teacher with class activities and materials.
