Job summary

Brighton Aldridge Community Academy invites applications for an Individual Needs Assistant to support students with additional needs. You will help them access the curriculum and participate fully in school activities, working closely with teachers and families.

You will provide personal care and wellbeing support, promote positive behaviour and inclusion, monitor student progress, and contribute to safeguarding within a dynamic secondary setting.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with additional needs.
• Ability to support one-to-one and small group activities.
• Assist in delivering inclusive lessons and promoting positive behaviour.
• Monitor progress and communicate with teachers, parents and professionals.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and contribute to a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with additional needs.
• Assist teachers in preparing delivering lessons and adapting resources.
• Support students with personal care, wellbeing and independence.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social inclusion.
• Monitor progress and contribute to IEPs and communications with families.
