Job summary

Buckinghamshire College Group is seeking a part-time Student Services Advisor to support students at the Amersham and Aylesbury campuses. The role focuses on welfare, wellbeing and financial guidance, liaising with internal teams and external agencies to help learners succeed throughout their college journey.

You will promote a broad range of support services, manage College support schemes and contribute to student enrichment activities, working closely with the Director of Student Services.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a highly organised individual who can support young people to succeed.
• Provide advice, guidance and practical support to students, including welfare and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Provide and promote a wide range of student welfare, wellbeing and support services.
• Act as advocate, coach and mentor to students.
• Serve as a key contact for students, parents and external agencies regarding student finance, wellbeing and welfare matters.
• Build and maintain community partnerships with schools, health services and under-represented groups.
• Plan and monitor student enrichment activities and student voice initiatives.
• Administer and promote College support schemes, including processing applications and recording payments.
• Maintain records on college systems and administer equipment loans.
• Deliver initiatives that promote student wellbeing and refer students to appropriate internal or external services.
• Assist with student enrolment and induction activities.
• Attend meetings and contribute to curriculum discussions.
