The University of Chester invites applications for an Assistant Chaplain to support a welcoming student community. Based in the Community Hub at Exton Park, this part-time, term-time role offers 17 hours per week across 30 weeks a year, with hours to be agreed.

You will bring pastoral experience, knowledge of faith communities, and strong communication skills to plan inclusive events, support students, and work with Chaplains to nurture belonging and wellbeing across campus.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in pastoral support and building community.
• Very good understanding of faith communities, religion and belief.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible Chaplaincy presence and pastoral care.
• Signpost students to appropriate support services.
• Plan and deliver engaging events and coordinate student volunteers.
• Maintain resources for chaplaincy activities.
