Job summary

Co-op Group is seeking a Customer Team Leader to manage a small store team, ensuring excellent service and smooth daily operations. You may work across post office, bakery, or online services, depending on the store, while driving membership and community engagement.

You will lead day-to-day operations, merchandise, stock accuracy, and customer interactions, with a focus on delivering value to local communities and upholding Co-op’s member-owned ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a store team in a retail environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, handling transactions on the post office counter, supporting daily operations and setting the pace for a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
• Champion Co-op through community engagement and membership growth.
