Harvester - Ancient Briton in St Albans is hiring a Part Time Sous Chef who is passionate about great food, training teams and delivering smiles to guests. You’ll lead a kitchen section, supervise the team, and step in for Head Chef when needed.

You will train staff, manage food ordering, prep and stock control, and ensure the branded menu standards are met. The role offers flexible shifts and a route to progression within Mitchells & Butlers, with staff benefits and discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sous chef or supervisory kitchen role.
• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments and delivering quality food.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train your kitchen team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support Head Chef with food ordering, preparation and stock control.
• Master the branded menu and ensure consistency across dishes.
• Manage Chefs and wider Kitchen Team and assist in performance management.
• Oversee compliance with health and hygiene regulations and food safety practices.
