Job summary

North Star at Castle Pubs is seeking a part-time sous chef who has a passion for serving great food and developing people. You’ll lead a section, stepping up in the Head Chef’s absence and ensuring the team works together as one to deliver quality dishes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior kitchen role in a busy pub/restaurant.
• Ability to train and lead a kitchen team.
• Experience with branded menus and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
