Job summary

Savills plc is seeking a maintenance operative for Parkgate Shopping Centre. The role involves general maintenance, painting, cleaning, and basic repairs across the Centre and car park. You will support the Senior Operations Manager and On-site teams, with a flexible weekend/Bank Holiday coverage requirement.

The position is part-time (18 hours per week) with core hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Salary is £15,000 per annum and a Benefits Booklet is available.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ maintenance experience or transferable role.
• Knowledge of chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods.
• Good health and safety awareness and procedures (COSHH, PPE, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance tasks around Parkgate Shopping Centre and car park.
• Perform painting and decorating, jet washing, and basic repairs.
• Report defects and coordinate with supervisors for required works.
• Support on-site PPM activities and assist other contractors as needed.
• Maintain on-site workshop and tools in good order.
