Uphill Village Academy, part of CLF, in Weston-super-Mare, is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to support learning across Upper KS2 and KS1/EYFS. The role offers flexible part-time hours (18–30 per week) within term-time plus inset days, with interviews considering varied patterns.

The position requires good literacy and numeracy, HLTA status or Level 3 progress, and a commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding. Starts 04 January 2027.

Qualifikationen

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
• Experience engaging and supporting pupils 1:1, in small groups and whole class.
• Confident delivering structured learning activities and interventions.
• Commitment to professional development including HLTA status or Level 3 qualification.
• Highly organised with ability to plan and adapt lessons and resources.
• Strong communication, empathy and active listening with pupils, staff and parents.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and inclusive practice.
• Proactive in monitoring pupil progress and adapting approaches.
• Team player contributing to a positive school culture.
• Passionate about working with children, safeguarding and inclusion.

Aufgaben

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality learning activities with class teachers.
• Lead small-group intervention and enrichment in Mathematics and English.
• Deliver weekly PPA cover with engaging and effective learning experiences.
• Contribute to a culture of high expectations, collaboration and improvement.
• Deliver high-quality small-group learning activities and interventions in KS1/EYFS.
• Provide weekly PPA cover across the phase and support a nurturing environment.
• Help create an inclusive setting where every child can thrive and develop confidence.
