Preston College is seeking a Transitions Officer to join our Learner Support team. You will help identify and engage prospective students, guiding them and their families as they transition into further education.

The role involves working with local schools and external agencies to remove barriers and create positive pathways for success. Working in a supportive environment, you will collaborate with applicants, families and education professionals to ensure a smooth start at college,

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND or student support is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build trust with students, families and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective students and their families; provide guidance on transition paths.
• Coordinate with schools, agencies and the Student Recruitment team to remove barriers to entry.
• Support learners and families throughout the transition into college and first weeks of study.
