Job summary

New College Swindon is seeking a SEND Admissions & Transitions Officer to shape the learner journey from first contact through successful progression into learning, employment or higher education. You will coordinate admissions, gather information with schools and the LA, and design personalised transition plans that remove barriers to learning.

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with schools, local authorities and partners.
  • Experience delivering inclusive support or transition programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate admissions and transition for learners with SEND, including EHCPs.
  • Collaborate with schools, families, LA and agencies to plan personalised transitions.
  • Organise and deliver transition activities, events and sessions.
  • Coordinate Initial Needs Assessments and arrange tailored support from day one.
  • Support admissions and enrolment to be accessible and inclusive.
  • Work with curriculum teams to embed inclusive practices.
  • Provide guidance on reasonable adjustments and inclusive learning environments.
  • Monitor learner progress and transitions using data and reporting.
