Job summary

Earlsdon Primary School in Coventry is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to provide tailored support for students who may struggle to access learning. You will help implement EHCP strategies, support alongside the class teacher, and promote independence in essential skills.

Qualifications

• Providing direct assistance with students who have SEND
• Following EHCP strategies to support learning
• Assisting in classroom activities and helping manage the classroom
• Promoting independence and essential skills development
• Monitoring progress and giving feedback to teachers and specialists

Responsibilities

• Supporting learning in 1:1 or small groups
• Assisting with physical and personal care
• Facilitating social skills and social communication for integration
• Collaborating with Class teachers, SENCos and other professionals
• Modifying materials to suit individual learning needs
• Complying with safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and data protection
• Supporting school ethos and development activities
• Participating in professional development and training
