Job summary

Trust Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant in the Doncaster area to support children with Special Educational Needs within primary settings. You will work with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and adapt activities to meet diverse needs.

The role emphasises safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing, with a focus on developing social, emotional, language and physical skills while fostering independence and positive behaviour.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with primary-aged children in a school setting.
  • Good English and Maths skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Patient, caring, and able to engage and support pupils.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
