Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Secondary Teaching Assistant for a part-time, permanent role in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The post runs Wednesday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, supporting students with SEND within a specialist-led setting linked to a mainstream academy.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support, help access GCSE and entry-level content, implement IEPs/EHCP targets, and assist with SEMH needs while collaborating with teachers, families and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND in settings with mainstream peers.
• Ability to deliver GCSE or entry-level curriculum.
• Calm, empathetic and proactive approach to SEMH needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Qualification in support, care or education desirable but not essential.
