Job summary

24x7 Group is seeking a part-time Driver for Home to School Transport in the New Hutton area. You will provide safe transport for children and adults with special needs or vulnerabilities, with shifts mainly during morning and afternoon school times.

The role offers term-time work, paid over 12 months, a vehicle provided with a fuel card, and the option for holidays. Training is provided, no prior experience needed, and you must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to and from schools or other locations.
• Maintain professional, friendly relationships with passengers, parents, carers and school staff.
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times.
• Be available for both morning and afternoon shifts on school days.

Salary: £540.00 - £860 per month (route dependent)

Hours: Range from 12.5 to 20 per week (route dependent)

Your Role

As a valued member of our team, you’ll provide safe and reliable transport for children and adults with special needs or vulnerabilities. You’ll be responsible for:

• Ensuring passengers travel safely to and from schools or other locations
• Building professional, friendly relationships with passengers, parents, carers, and school staff
• Following safety procedures and company guidelines at all times
• Available for both morning and afternoon shifts on school days

What You Need

• A valid UK driving licence (car category)
• Confidence in driving a variety of vehicles, including people carriers and wheelchair-accessible vehicles (training provided)
• Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check (criminal record check)
• Completion of a Group 2 medical assessment to meet licensing standards
• Right to work in the UK
