Job summary

Outwood Academy Freeston in Normanton is seeking a Site Manager to ensure the seamless operation, safety, and security of the academy environment. You will lead on health and safety management, oversee daily site operations, and supervise the cleaning and maintenance teams to keep the building welcoming and compliant.

This part-time role covers 18.5 hours per week on an alternating fortnightly shift, with responsibilities including contractor supervision, asset protection, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing Health & Safety across education sites, preferably with accreditation.
• Experience delivering premises statutory compliance and inspections.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Experience managing large/ refurbishment projects and coordinating contractors.
• Experience managing premises budgets, POs and invoice payments.
• Experience leading teams and allocating workflow.
• Ability to manage small premises projects (up to £50K).
• Proficient in word processing and Excel; able to prepare reports and capital requests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless operation and security of the academy environment.
• Lead Health & Safety management across the site and oversee statutory inspections.
• Oversee day-to-day operation, cleaning, and maintenance teams.
• Manage contractors, check standards of work, and supervise budgets.
• Plan and allocate workflow, and supervise site staff performance.
• Develop and manage small premises projects up to £50K.
• Maintain safeguarding compliance and liaise with internal/external stakeholders.
• Prioritise and manage workload in a fast-paced environment; cover shifts when needed.
