Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust is looking for a reliable and dedicated Cleaner to join our friendly team. This is an important role where you’ll help ensure our schools remain clean, safe and welcoming places for children, staff and visitors.

The position is 15 hours per week, 43 weeks per year, based at Oakhill Primary Academy, working 3pm–6pm, Monday to Friday. Your duties include cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas, carrying out specialist cleaning tasks, replenishing hygiene supplies,

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, offices and communal areas using appropriate equipment (mopping, sweeping, buffing, suction cleaning and machine scrubbing)
• Cleaning internal surfaces including walls, windows, worktops and sanitary facilities
• Emptying bins and removing waste safely
• Carrying out specialist cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, stain removal and descaling
• Replenishing hygiene supplies (soap, hand towels, toilet rolls)
• Conducting routine equipment safety checks and basic maintenance
• Reporting damage, faults or concerns promptly
• Locking and unlocking school premises and ensuring site security
• Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times
