Job summary

Wellspring Academy Trust is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join the team at Horncastle Primary School. The role involves keeping teaching spaces, offices and communal areas clean to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors. Part-time: 15 hours per week, 43 weeks per year, 3pm–6pm, Monday to Friday.

No formal qualifications required; full training provided. You will work as part of a team and follow health and safety procedures, COSHH and risk assessments, with focus

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; attitude and reliability matter.
• Experience in cleaning is desirable but full training provided.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices and communal areas using appropriate equipment.
• Clean internal surfaces including walls, windows, worktops and sanitary facilities.
• Empty bins and remove waste safely.
• Carry out specialist cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, stain removal and descaling.
• Replenish hygiene supplies (soap, hand towels, toilet rolls).
• Conduct routine equipment safety checks and basic maintenance.
• Report damage, faults or concerns promptly.
• Lock and unlock school premises and ensure site security.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times.
