Job summary

Sussex Housing and Care is seeking a part-time Scheme Manager to support residents across Mayfield and Heathfield. You will handle day-to-day enquiries, monitor welfare, and ensure safety and compliance on site.

The role requires strong customer service, calm decision-making under pressure, and the ability to work across multiple sites in Sussex with a flexible approach to scheduling. 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with pro rata benefits.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Supported Housing or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of Housing Benefit/Supporting People requirements and criteria.
• Wide knowledge of health and social issues affecting residents.
• At least two years housing experience in a similar field.
• Ability to handle challenging and emergency situations calmly.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• GCSE level C in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Ability to drive and access to own vehicle due to multi-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day enquiries relating to the scheme.
• Monitor resident welfare and liaise with agencies where appropriate.
• Ensure on-site health and safety checks are carried out and documented.
• Monitor scheme budget and stay within budgeting limits.
• Receive and process repairs and monitor progress.
• Liaise with outside agencies and suppliers.
• Manage complaints, including anti-social behaviour cases.
• Oversee cleaning, gardening and contractor performance.
• Oversee void properties and support re-letting targets.
