Job summary

Ryman Sunderland is seeking a Sales Assistant to join our team on a part‑time basis (6 hours per week). You will support the store management, drive turnover through excellent customer service, and act as a brand ambassador for Ryman and the Theo Paphitis Retail Group.

The role emphasises learning, product knowledge, and proactive engagement with customers. You will contribute to delivering outstanding service, upsell relevant products, maintain stock, and help keep the store visually appealing

Responsibilities

• Act as an ambassador for Ryman and Theo Paphitis Retail Group, sharing knowledge with customers.
• Handle customer complaints professionally, including returns, to retain customers.
• Aim to exceed KPIs and store targets set by management.
• Engage with customers to identify needs and match products accordingly with upselling.
• Carry out stock replenishment and maintain stock accuracy in systems.
• Promote high visual merchandising standards and keep store tidy.
• Develop product knowledge and self-improve continuously.
• Recognise opportunities to increase sales by suggesting additional items.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies.
