Job summary

Timpson Group in Galashiels is hiring a part-time sales assistant to deliver an engaging customer experience across our photo ID and personalized gifts offer. You will be joining a lively, supportive team where energy and motivation are valued and training is provided to help you grow in the role.

The position is 16 hours per week with a two-day weekend pattern and overtime some weeks during busy periods. Starting salary and progression are outlined with a transparent bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• No experience required; full training provided.
• Strong customer care and positive attitude essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge.

• Assist customers with a warm, friendly approach.
• Process transactions and operate the till accurately.

We pride ourselves on amazing our customers and encourage creativity with your day to day tasks including digital printing, making canvas wall art and personalized photo gifts. We specialize in photo ID and portrait photography where full training will be given.

You would enjoy multitasking and use your personality to make the customer experience memorable, turning first time customers into customers for life.

The job is more than a sales assistant and for the right person the role will be rewarding and enjoyable. Our business encourages a fun and buzzy atmosphere with energy and motivation being key.

If you are self-motivated, bonus hungry, keen to learn new skills and take pride in customer care, selling and possess high personal standards, you are the perfect person to join our team.

You will be required to work 16 hours per week, working 2 out of 7 days, including weekends. There will be overtime available some weeks. Especially at busier times of the year.

Starting salary is currently £26520.00 (£12.75 p/h) rising to at least £26624.00 (£12.80 p/h) upon passing the probationary period. You can also make the most of an uncapped weekly bonus scheme.

This role is based in our Galashiels branch candidates may be asked to travel to other branches as and when when required. Especially for training.
