Job summary

Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Consultant in Rheumatology to join a growing department with a proactive, patient-centred approach. The post is pro rata for 7 sessions per week (roughly 3.5 days) with potential flexibility in the schedule and an emphasis on collaboration across clinics and subspecialty interests.

The successful candidate should be on the GMC Specialist Register for Rheumatology or within six months of CCT.

Qualifications

• MRCP, ALS, GMC registration, CCT in Rheumatology or within 6 months of obtaining this, MD/MSc, GMC Specialist Register, CCT in General Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a mixed pool of rheumatology patients (community referrals and internal referrals).
• Collaborate with SDEC and Emergency Medicine to prevent admissions.
• Support and contribute to ongoing research and development within the department.
• Participate in a flexible, team-based approach to patient care.
