Job summary

North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant in Rheumatology to join a mainly outpatient service. The post involves flexible weekly sessions, ultrasound access, and participation in early arthritis and vascular pathways.

The appointed clinician should be GMC-registered, with MRCP and UK CCT eligibility, and a commitment to high-quality patient care within a team-based setting.

Qualifications

• Evidence of broad training and experience in Rheumatology.
• UK CCT or equivalent within 6 months of appointment.
• Participation in Clinical Audit.
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance principles.
• GMC Specialist Register in Rheumatology or eligibility within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Rheumatology services with flexibility across the week.
• Ultrasound screening and vascular ultrasound support where available.
• Contribute to early arthritis and temporal arteritis pathways.
• Engage in shared care and multidisciplinary team work.
