Job summary

Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a substantive Consultant in Rheumatology for a part-time post (7 sessions per week). The role offers a flexible team in a growing Rheumatology service with an Early Arthritis Clinic and various subspecialty clinics.

Applicants should ideally be on the GMC Specialist Register for Rheumatology or within six months of CCT. The appointee will join a dynamic team, contribute to a busy clinic portfolio and participate in research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Care for a mixed pool of referrals from the community and across specialties, including urgent and routine cases.
• Lead on admission prevention via collaboration with the SDEC and Emergency Medicine teams.
• Support ongoing development of sub-specialty clinics and the Early Arthritis Clinic.
• Encourage forward-thinking colleagues to join the department and contribute to continuous improvement and research.
