Job summary

Strikes Garden Centre in the United Kingdom is looking for a General Retail Assistant on a part-time, permanent basis. You will provide friendly, helpful customer service, operate the till, and assist with stock and displays to create an enjoyable shopping experience.

Shifts are 31.25 hours over 4 days or 24.5 hours over 3 days, with regular weekend work and no evening shifts. Training is provided, with benefits including staff discounts and free parking.

Qualifications

• Friendly, with an engaging personality and a love for customer service.
• Knowledge of garden centre products preferred but not essential; full training provided.
• Strong customer service, communications, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexible shift pattern including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Till operation and serving customers
• Stock replenishment and merchandising across all departments
• Creating and maintaining product displays
• Assisting customers across the Centre and WOW experience
• Cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed
• Assisting customers with carrying purchases to their cars
• Collecting trolleys and shopping baskets
