Responsibilities

The Position:

We’re looking for a Part Time Receptionist – Customer Services and Support at our Wigston campus. 19 hours per week (42 weeks a year)

Responsibilities For The Role
  • Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service, ensuring the area remains well-presented while delivering high standards of customer care and promoting equality and inclusivity for all students and visitors.
  • Assist with the operation of access control systems for security purposes, including the management of door and lift passes as required.
  • Ensure that all visitors and contractors attending campus are signed in and are provided with an appropriate coloured lanyard, and are made aware of relevant site safety information
  • Operate the College switchboard, ensuring all incoming calls are answered promptly and directed to the appropriate department in a timely manner.
  • Liaise professionally with staff, students, and other College stakeholders, using telephone and computer systems or providing face-to-face support as appropriate.
  • Liaise with site security, duty managers, safeguarding and other college staff to ensure behaviour standards and college values are maintained within reception areas
  • Support learners in accessing College services, including Financial Support, Counselling, Careers, safeguarding, and additional support services, arranging appointments where required.
  • Supporting Admissions to ensure the completion of full/part-time and apprenticeship enrolment processes, including but not limited to the issuing of student lanyards and id cards where appropriate
  • Oversee and coordinate the administration of college trip and college bus payments, along with other student-related payments where appropriate (including performance tickets, treatments and course fees), ensuring accurate recording and tracking processes are in place.
  • Assist the bursary team with the distribution of payments, kit, materials bus passes; liaising with tutors, finance and curriculum teams to ensure smooth operations and up to date information
  • Manage and administer petty cash, ensuring accurate recording, secure handling of funds, timely reconciliation and compliance with financial procedures and audit requirements
  • Ensure all approved College marketing materials are appropriately displayed and readily available for both current and prospective customers.
  • Providing basic course information and signposting to prospective students, liaising with other college departments as required to progress queries
  • Assist in managing lost property, ensuring all procedures are correctly followed.
  • Assist with the processing of incoming and outgoing post, ensuring timely distribution and accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist with arranging minibus and taxi bookings as needed
  • Provide support at other College campus locations as needed.
The Location:

The position is based at our new Grayson Place campus in Nuneaton, though cover may be required at other campuses on occasion.
