What you will be doing:

In this exciting role at The Spinney, a service for male patients with personality disorder and/or mental illness, each day brings different challenges and experiences.

Ensuring the safety and security of service users, staff, and visitors is a top priority. You’ll oversee visitor sign-ins, conduct security checks, and manage the distribution of keys and security badges.

Working part-time alongside the reception team, your key responsibilities will include welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner, coordinating the office diary for meetings and events, and efficiently handling telephone calls, emails, and post.

Position Details:

• Position 1: 22.5 hours per week, working Tuesday 12:30pm to 8:30pm, Friday 12:30pm – 8:30pm, Sunday 7am to 2:30pm
• Position 2: 15 hours per week, working Saturday 12:30pm – 8:30pm, Sunday 12:30pm to 8:30pm

As a Receptionist, you will be:

• Welcoming visitors and ensuring the visitor book is signed
• Maintaining the reception area and meeting rooms
• Managing the office diary for meetings, events, training, and therapy sessions
• Ensuring confidentiality and security
• Handling telephone calls, emails, and post
• Performing ad hoc administrative tasks
• Ensuring display of appropriate leaflets and brochures
• Managing deliveries

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Computer skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, confident, and diplomatic demeanor
• GCSE English Language Grade C or above
• Enthusiasm and efficiency
• Awareness of confidentiality and security
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A welcoming and self-motivated attitude

Where you will be working:

Location: Everest Road, Atherton, Manchester, M46 9NT

You will work at The Spinney, a service offering a range of care settings for male patients with personality disorder and/or mental illness. The site includes secure wards, rehabilitation wards, and a psychiatric intensive care unit within an 11-acre area with woodland and landscaped grounds.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team recognized by the Association of Psychological Therapies (APT) for their effective reinforcement of positive behavior and successful interventions in a secure setting.
