First impressions matter. As a Part-time Receptionist you play a pivotal role in setting the tone for every interaction. You are the first face and first conversation visitors to Victoria Gardens in Huyton will experience. Your warm and friendly personality will shine through as you greet and assist staff, visitors and service users.

What you will be doing

In this exciting role at Victoria Garden a service for complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge conditions, each day brings different challenges and experiences. Working 22.5 a week along side the reception team your key responsibilities will be welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner, co-ordinating the office diary for meetings and events and efficiently handling telephone calls, emails and post.

Ensuring the safety and security of service users, staff and visitors is a top priority. You’ll oversee visitor sign ins, conduct security checks and manage the distribution of keys and security badges.

As a Receptionist you will be:

• Welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner and ensuring the sign the visitor book.
• Maintaining the upkeep of the reception area & meeting rooms are presentable.
• Managing the office diary for meetings, events, training days and therapy sessions.
• Ensuring confidentially and security to the service.
• Receiving and dealing with telephone calls, emails and post.
• Ad hoc administration tasks.
• Ensuring all appropriate leaflets and brochures are on display.
• Manage deliveries.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience
• Computer skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be professional, confident and diplomatic
• GCSE English Language Grade C or above
• Be efficient and enthusiastic

Our will be working at Victoria Gardens, a specialist locked rehabilitation for people with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge, as well as a ward for older females. You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence.

The service is a recovery-based service and incorporates elements of the Good Lives Model, supported by individualised interventions. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team which includes Nursing, Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker support.
