Job summary

Elysium Healthcare is seeking a Lead Social Worker for Victoria Gardens in Huyton, Liverpool. You will manage a caseload of service users with complex mental health needs and contribute to recovery within a multidisciplinary team.

You will supervise junior staff, lead adult safeguarding, prepare CPA reports and attend Mental Health Tribunals, with training and career development supported.

• A Social Work qualification.

• Have at least 3-4 years’ experience of working in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead on adult safeguarding within the social work team.
• Deputise for Lead social worker in quality assurance meetings.
• Deliver safeguarding induction and update training across the Hospital.
• Lead MDT on non-medical mental capacity and best interest decisions.
• Provide quality supervision and appraisal to junior and senior social workers.
• Liaise with external agencies to meet statutory duties (MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, CMHT, FIND, FOLS, Police and Probation).

Are you a Lead Social Worker looking to join a company that values and recognises you? If so, join the team at Victoria Gardens in Huyton, a specialist rehabilitation for Service Users with complex mental health needs and help people in their recovery journey to develop new skills and build a brighter future.

Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will manage and support a caseload of up to service users with mental health conditions. You will be responsible for assessments, CPA reports, Mental Health Tribunals, Managers Hearings and will be requested to supervise junior staff members.

As a manager of the team, you will lead and promote adult safeguarding and will empower recovery to encourage service users to engage in their care plans and achieve their goals.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be supported regionally and will have access to a variety of training and online courses to support your career development and growth.

As a Social Worker You Will Be

• Supporting the social work team to take the lead on adult safeguarding.


• Deputising for Lead social worker in quality assurance meetings.


• Supporting the social work team to deliver Safeguarding induction and update training across the Hospital.


• Leading the multidisciplinary teams on non-medical mental capacity issues and best interest decisions.


• Delivering quality supervision and appraisal to junior and senior social workers in the Team.


• Liaising with external agencies to enable them to fulfil their statutory duties, for example: MAPPA, Local Authority Social Services, CMHT, FIND, FOLS, Police and Probation.


• Supporting carers and families of detained patients

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Need

Where you will be working

Location: Victoria Road,Huyton, Liverpool,L36 5SA

You will be working at Victoria Gardens, a specialist rehabilitation for Service Users with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence.

The service is a recovery based service and incorporate elements of the Good Lives Model, supported by individualised interventions. We have a full multidisciplinary team (MDT) with Nursing, Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Social Worker support.
