Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk in Dudley for a part-time role of 25–30 hours per week. The position offers a route to permanent employment in a busy finance team within a manufacturing environment.

You will process invoices, reconcile supplier accounts, and handle supplier queries, with on-site parking and a supportive consultancy from Pertemps. The ideal candidate will have previous accounts or ledger experience, strong attention to detail, and good Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts or purchase ledger roles.
• Attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Process and record supplier invoices accurately.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes.
• Check invoice authorisation, coding and cost centres.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Process supplier credit notes and maintain supplier records.
• Reconcile supplier statements and respond to supplier queries.
• Prepare supplier payment runs in line with terms.
• Support month-end purchase ledger procedures and VAT checks.
