Job summary

West Herts College is seeking a Procurement Officer to join the Engineering team in a part-time capacity, 30 hours per week, across Hemel Hempstead and Luton campuses. You will support ordering and distribution of equipment and parts for Construction and Engineering, working with Senior Management and staff.

The role emphasizes proactive stock management, price checks for value, and budget controls, with opportunities to upskill.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent IT skills and be able to work independently.
• Experience in stock management and budget monitoring.
• Excellent communication and customer care.
• Qualification to Level 2 or equivalent knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and confirm delivery receipts.
• Monitor budget expenditure and apply budget controls.
• Support managers and curriculum teams to source resources.
• Coordinate with Hemel Hempstead and Luton campuses.
