Job summary

West Herts College is seeking a Procurement Officer (0.8fte) in Watford/Hemel Hempstead to support equipment ordering and stock control for Engineering courses. The role offers flexible days, a permanent contract, and close collaboration with staff, students and suppliers.

• Excellent administrative and communication skills.
• IT proficiency and ability to work independently.
• Experience in similar procurement or stock management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support ordering and distribution of equipment and parts for Construction and Engineering teams.
• Manage stock, perform price checks to ensure value for money.
• Communicate with curriculum teams to source resources for curriculum delivery.
• Process orders and confirm deliveries while monitoring budget expenditure.
• Work 30 hours per week at Hemel Hempstead campus.
