Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Phlebotomist (Band 2) for a 20-hour part-time role based at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton. You will join a busy phlebotomy team and may work across sites as required. A current UK driving licence and vehicle use are desirable.

Responsibilities include drawing blood, labeling tubes, and preparing samples for Pathology. You will work with a multidisciplinary team and support flexible arrangements to meet service needs.

Qualifications

• Good Numeracy and Literacy.
• Work well within a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Accurate and legible handwriting/record keeping.
• Exposure to bodily fluids.
• Experience in healthcare environment.
• Clinical phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Phlebotomy Department team and in clinics/wards on the hospital site.
• Respond positively to changing demands of the service.
• Phlebotomy duties include taking blood samples, labelling tubes and storing samples.
