Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic phlebotomist for a 20-hour part-time position based at New Cross, with cross-site work required. Responsibilities include taking blood samples, labeling tubes and storing samples, within a busy phlebotomy team.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and literacy.
• Able to work well in a multidisciplinary team.
• Capable of working without direct supervision.
• Accurate and legible handwriting/record keeping.
• Exposure to bodily fluids in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Clinical phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy duties include taking blood samples, labeling tubes and storing samples.
• Work in clinics and wards on the hospital site as part of the Phlebotomy Department.
• Respond positively to the changing demands of the service.
