Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking a motivated individual to join the Phlebotomy section at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli, on a permanent part-time contract (20 hours per week).

The role involves blood collection by venepuncture across wards, outpatients and outreach clinics, with weekend/SBH rota commitment and additional remuneration. Training will be provided on commencement, and you will work as part of a team to ensure efficient, patient‑friendly blood sampling services.

Qualifications

• Experience in blood sample collection by venepuncture.
• Phlebotomy and transfusion-related certificates.
• Flexible to rota and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples by venepuncture from wards, outpatients and outreach clinics.
• Assist in providing an efficient, caring Phlebotomy service as part of a team.
• Support flexible hours and weekend/Bank Holiday rota commitments.
