Job summary

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join the Phlebotomy section of the Pathology Department at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli. The role is permanent, 20 hours per week and requires availability for weekend and Bank Holiday rota with additional remuneration.

The successful candidate will collect blood samples by venipuncture from wards, outpatients and outreach clinics, with training provided on commencement.

Qualifications

• Blood sample collection by venipuncture.
• Flexible to service needs.
• Welsh language desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples by venipuncture from wards, OPD and outreach clinics.
• Assist in running an efficient Phlebotomy service as part of a team.
• Be flexible with hours; participate on weekend rota with extra remuneration.
