Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Phlebotomist (Band 3) to join the phlebotomy team at St John’s Hospital. The post supports high quality patient care by obtaining venous access and collecting blood samples in line with hospital protocols and safety standards.

The role is part-time with pay pro-rata and requires PVG Scheme membership. Applicants should be able to work as part of a wider hospital service and contribute to cross-disciplinary care within the Lothian University Hospitals division.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy-related skills and knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient venous access and collect blood samples in a high-quality phlebotomy service.
• Provide clinical support to medical staff within hospital directorates and other services as needed.
