Job summary

Elysium Healthcare Limited is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication management at Farmfield Hospital in Surrey. This part-time role (22.5 hours per week) involves coordinating with the GP service, MDT, and the external pharmacy provider to ensure medicines are ordered, received, stored securely, and compliant with GPhC standards.

The successful candidate will contribute to clinical governance, participate in audits, and maintain professional registrations while supporting service

Qualifications

• GPhC registration is required.
• Minimum of two years of supervised, practical experience in a pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities

• Work with GP service, MDT and pharmacy provider to ensure medications are ordered and received on site promptly.
• Act on safety alerts to prioritise service user safety.
• Ensure safe storage of medications in collaboration with nursing teams.
• Contribute to clinical governance and policy changes via formal forums.
• Maintain professional registration with the GPhC and ensure accreditations meet GPhC guidance.
• Escalate quality concerns or incidents per company policy.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to support service development.
• Monitor controlled drugs and report inaccuracies to the accountable officer.
• Act as the local clozapine coordinator ensuring monitoring and timely supply.
