Job summary

Elysium Healthcare's Thornford Park Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the on-site team, delivering safe and efficient medication management in a specialist care setting.

You will work with the GP service, nursing teams and our pharmacy provider to order, dispense and receive medications on site, maintain secure storage, attend multidisciplinary meetings, contribute to governance, and deliver staff training while upholding GPhC standards.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration is required.
• Minimum of two years of supervised, practical experience in a pharmacy setting.
• The Level 3 Diploma or equivalent qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Work with GP service and pharmacy provider to ensure medications are ordered, dispensed and received on site.
• Act on safety alerts to prioritise service user safety.
• Ensure safe storage of medications with nursing teams.
• Attend monthly multidisciplinary meetings and contribute as appropriate.
• Contribute to clinical governance and update local policy through the governance forum.
• Maintain GPhC professional registration.
• Keep professional accreditations in line with GPhC guidance.
• Escalate quality concerns or incidents per company policy.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
• Ensure departments have access to Pharmacy Technician support throughout the week.
• Liaise with pharmacy provider and nursing staff to support service development.
• Participate in audits to drive continuous improvement and service development.
