Artemis Human Capital partners with a well-established accountancy practice in Holywood to recruit an experienced Payroll Specialist on a part‑time basis. You will manage monthly payrolls for a varied client portfolio (5–70 employees), using BrightPay to ensure accurate, timely processing.

The role requires strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and statutory payroll requirements, superb attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple deadlines while maintaining client

• Experience in payroll within an accountancy practice.
• Ability to manage multiple client payrolls.
• Knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and statutory payroll requirements.
• Experience using BrightPay or a similar payroll system.

Responsibilities

• Processing end-to-end monthly payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Managing payrolls for businesses ranging from 5 to 70 employees.
• Using BrightPay to process payroll accurately and efficiently.
• Calculating PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and other payroll deductions.
• Preparing and submitting relevant payroll returns in line with HMRC requirements.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
• Ensuring compliance with current payroll legislation and regulations.
• Responding to client payroll queries and resolving discrepancies.
• Managing multiple payroll deadlines to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Handling confidential payroll information with professionalism and discretion.

We are partnering with a well-established accountancy practice based in Holywood who are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their close-knit team.

This is a part‑time opportunity within a firm of approximately 15 employees, offering responsibility for a varied portfolio of client payrolls across different business sizes. You’ll manage monthly payrolls ranging from small businesses with around five employees to larger organisations with up to 70 employees, using BrightPay to ensure accurate and timely processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing end-to-end monthly payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients


• Managing payrolls for businesses ranging from approximately 5 to 70 employees


• Using BrightPay to process payroll accurately and efficiently


• Calculating PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and other payroll deductions

Who we’re looking for:

• Previous payroll experience within an accountancy practice is essential


• Experience managing multiple client payrolls

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines


• Good communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
