Portfolio Payroll is partnering with a well-established accountancy practice to recruit an experienced Payroll Specialist. You will own a portfolio of client payrolls, delivering accurate end-to-end payroll processing and maintaining strong client relationships.
This role involves handling weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, RTI submissions, year-end processes, and responding to client payroll queries. A collaborative team environment and clear progression opportunities are on offer.
Portfolio Payroll is working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice that is looking to add an experienced Payroll Specialist to its growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroller who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and is confident managing end-to-end payrolls for multiple clients.
You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of client payrolls, ensuring everything is processed accurately, efficiently and on time. Responsibilities will include:
Managing end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients
Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
Calculating and processing PAYE, NI, statutory payments and deductions
Managing starters, leavers and employee changes
Processing SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory payments
Completing payroll reconciliations and ensuring accurate payroll records
Preparing and submitting RTI/FPS/EPS submissions
Dealing with year-end payroll processes, including P60s
Responding to payroll queries from clients and their employees
Providing a high level of customer service and building strong client relationships
Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
Working closely with the wider accounts and payroll teams to ensure deadlines are met
We’re looking for someone with solid end-to-end payroll experience, ideally gained within an accountancy practice, bureau or another multi-client payroll environment.
You’ll be confident managing your own workload, comfortable dealing directly with clients and have excellent attention to detail. Experience using payroll software such as IRIS and Brain or similar would be advantageous.
£28,000-£38,000 salary, depending on experience
