Job summary

Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Administrator on a part-time basis to join a busy finance function in North Lanarkshire, offering hybrid working and a supportive team environment. You will process payroll data, maintain records, ensure compliance with UK legislation, and respond to payroll queries from staff and managers while supporting pension administration.

The role also covers month-end duties, reconciliations, data integrity, and opportunities to improve processes,

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll processing and data entry with a focus on accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory payments.
  • Proficient in Excel and basic reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll data accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with current legislation.
  • Resolve payroll queries from employees and managers.
  • Support pension administration and statutory payroll processes.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
  • Liaise with HR and Finance to keep employee data up to date.

Payroll Administrator - Part Time

North Lanarkshire | Hybrid Working

A growing and well-established organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its busy finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional seeking a varied role within a supportive team environment, offering hybrid working and genuine opportunities for development.

The Role

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of payroll while working closely with colleagues across HR, Finance and the wider business.

Key duties will include:

  • Processing payroll data and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Resolving payroll queries from employees and managers.
  • Supporting pension administration and statutory payroll processes.
  • Assisting with payroll reconciliations and reporting.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure employee data is accurate and up to date.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies.
  • Supporting month-end activities as required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous payroll administration experience.
  • Good understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory payments.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience working with payroll systems.
  • Competent Excel skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
