Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting is seeking a Payroll Manager for a permanent part-time role (30 hours per week) in Cornwall. The position offers a mix of site-based and remote working to suit the successful candidate.

You will join a large, experienced finance team and be responsible for overseeing monthly payroll processing, budgets, HMRC submissions, pension data, and statutory data compliance. Ideally, the candidate will be AAT qualified with experience using digital payroll systems; strong

• Experience in processing large monthly payrolls.
• Budgeting and forecasting for payroll activities.
• HMRC data submissions experience.
• Pension data administration.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of a large monthly payroll.
• Prepare payroll-focused budgets and forecasts.
• Resolve payroll queries.
• Produce and submit payroll data to HMRC.
• Maintain pension data and liaise with pension providers.
• Ensure submission of annual statutory data (P11Ds, Class 1A).
• Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation.
• Support the wider finance team with accounting projects.
