Job summary

24x7 Group is seeking a Passenger Assistant for term-time, part-time work in Minehead. You will transport SEN and vulnerable passengers to and from school or day care, and assist drivers in company vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, flexibility, and community support.

Ideal candidates will have DBS clearance, right to work in the UK, and First Aid training. Training is provided, with monthly pay and long-term job security on a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Pass an enhanced DBS check due to working with children, young persons and/or vulnerable adults.
• Have the right to work in the UK.
• First Aid Training - and willing to undergo advanced specialist medical training.

Responsibilities

• Transport SEN or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres.
• Work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company.
• Establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, carers/parents, and establishments they attend.
• Assist the driver in company vehicles, including cars, 8-seat people carriers and large wheelchair accessible vehicles.
• Be patient and empathic with passengers and keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys.

PASSENGER ASSISTANT ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PART TIME TERM TIME WORK IN YOUR AREA NOW

Salary: £560- £860 per month (route dependent)
Hours: 12.5 to 20 per week (varies by route)

Your Role

• Transport special needs (SEN) or vulnerable children and adults to and from school, college, or day care centres
• To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner and support the operation of the company.
• To quickly establish positive and professional relationships with passengers, their carers/parents, and the key people at the establishments they attend.
• To assist the driver in company supplied vehicles, which includes - cars, 8 seat people carriers and large wheelchair accessible vehicles.
• To be patient and empathic with the passengers and be able to keep them occupied and comfortable on journeys.
